Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton gets married

Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton (who played MI6 agent Strawberry Fields) has gotten married to stunt man Stefano Catelli who she met on the set of Quantum of Solace back in 2008. The wedding took place at a secret location in Southern Spain. Arterton described her wedding dress to InStyle magazine last month but no dates for the wedding were given. In Quantum of Solace, Gemma played MI6 field operative Strawberry Fields who helps Bond infiltrate businessman’s Dominic Greene’s crime-laden organization. Unfortunately, we’ll never see Fields again as she was killed shortly after being seduced by Bond.

All this talk about Olga Kurylenko being in the next Bond film, but did anyone know she would also be starring in Max Payne with Mark Wahlberg? Olga plays Natasha Sax, who takes an interest in Max but ends up dead. The film didn’t get great reviews, but if you are a true Olga fan you may want to check it out just for her. Jay Leno says Quantum of Solace is “quite good”

In Jay Leno’s blog last Sunday for TimesOnline, he discusses how he is proud of the fact he has met every James Bond. He calls Roger Moore the “Pillsbury Doughbond,” and talks about how in the Bond movies the Aston Martins get treated so poorly.

He says “The new 007 movie also probably has the best Bond car since Sean Connery’s DB5.” And, mentions the fact that Daniel Craig turned down one of these rare cars. Here is a link to the full article

Olga Kurylenko appears on Fox Morning Show

Olga Kurylenko, starring in the upcoming Bond film Quantum of Solace, was recently interviewed on the Fox 11 Morning show. She talked about being discovered in the Ukraine and the “James Bond Curse.” “I’ve got some bruises, but it is fine,” Olga said, after being asked she was afraid of the curse.

She also mentioned shopping with Gemma Arterton who plays MI6 Agent Fields. Olga and Gemma do not share any scenes together, but are friends and went shopping together in Panama.

Olga plays Russian-Bolivian agent Camille, who plays the lead Bond girl and has her own vendetta against Dominic Greene and Quantum, who are connected to Casino Royale’s Bond girl Vesper Lynd.

Olga also plays in the movie Max Payne with Mark Wahlberg which opened this weekend and trounced all other openings. Olga plays Natasha Sax, who wants to be with Max (Mark Wahlberg) but is killed mysteriously.

It has been revealed that Bond girl Gemma Arterton who stars in the upcoming Quantum of Solace was born with 12 fingers. The actress, and “Perfect 007″ was quoted in the Mail as saying “People are really interested but repulsed at the same time.” In quote that seems to regret the fact that the doctor who delivered her tied off her extra fingers at birth so they would fall off, she told Esquire magazine that “We could do more stuff if we had extra fingers — faster texting, faster emailing, better guitar-playing.”

Alicia Keys teams with Jack White on new Bond theme

Alicia Keys and Jack White have teamed up to create the new James Bond theme entitled “Another Way to Die.” The song, written by White Stripes member Jack White, will be revealed in the upcoming Bond film “Quantum of Solace.” Keys sings and plays some piano for the track. A video has already been shot, and the two plan on performing the song live at the special premiere of the film. Could Alicia Keys be the next Perfect 007 girl?

New Bond Film delayed one week

Due to a push back of the new Harry Potter film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Price, the new Bond film Quantum of Solace will be released a week later than previously scheduled. Bond films have traditionally been released Thanksgiving weekend, but this time it will be released on November 14 rather than November 7.

“We believe Nov. 14 is a great date that allows us to play straight through Thanksgiving and right into Christmas,” Jeff Blake, Sony chairman of worldwide marketing and distribution, told Variety. “We believe this decision will give the public a wider opportunity to see the film over the holiday.”

Quantum of Solace, starring Daniel Craig, Gemma Arterton, and Olga Kurylenko will now compete with Soul Men starring Bernie Mac, Samuel L. Jackson and Role Models starring Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Seann William Scott.

English actress Gemma Arterton was chosen from around 1500 candidates to be the next Bond girl. Arterton will play a character called “Fields”, in what is described as a “nice-sized role” in the upcoming James Bond film Quantum of Solace. She will alsobe the face of Avon’s Bond Girl 007 fragrance when it launches in October 2008.

I caught the trailer to the new Bond film Quantum of Solace and boy does it look dark. This new bond is no nice guy. The trailer barely shows new bond girl Camille, played by Olga Kurylenko, but I’m sure we’ll see more of her November 7.

Camille is Russian-Bolivian agent and the lead Bond girl. She has her own vendetta regarding Greene and Quantum. The producers of the film said Camille is someone “who challenges Bond and helps him come to terms with the emotional consequences of Vesper’s betrayal”.
